Daniel conceived of Bondlinc in 2014, but only formalized the project when he recruited Eng Keong Ong to be a co-founder and CEO in 2016. Prior to heading the business development in Hong Kong, Daniel was the Treasurer for OCBC Hong Kong branch. His previous experiences include being the Head of Credit and Equity Trading at OCBC in Singapore and the Head of Asia High Yield Credit Trading at JP Morgan in Hong Kong. Daniel began his career as an equity analyst at an event-driven hedge fund in New York.

CEO & Co-founder
EK was a Fixed Income trader with career trading experiences in London, New York, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore. Prior to starting Bondlinc, EK was a Managing Director and Senior Asian Credit Trader at US Investment Bank Jefferies International.
Over the course of his career, he has had capital market experiences at DZ Bank, BNP Paribas and Citigroup. He graduated from the London School of Economics with a Economics degree in 2001.
Edward has more than 30 years’ experience in the banking and financial industry in Hong Kong. He started his fixed income career with JP Morgan in 1988. He later started his private banking career with HSBC Private Bank in 1992, building the bank’s fixed income platform (both advisory and discretionary). In the 23 years’ experience with HSBC Private Bank, he held various senior positions, namely Head of Investment Advisory Group, Regional Head of Fixed Income & Equities, Head of Investment Products (China), Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management (fixed income), and Global Head of Fixed Income. Between 2008-2013, he sat on the Bank’s Global Investment Committee as a voting member and was also the Chairman of the Global Emerging Markets sub-committee.
In his fixed income career, he was frequently voted as one of the “Most Astute Fixed Income Investors” in Hong Kong by The Asset Magazine. After leaving HSBC Private Bank, he was involved in the planning and building of some financial startups.
Edward is a holder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and received his doctorate degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
